Lara M. Foss

Service, excellence, sustainability, compassion, gratitude, and humility are the values driving entrepreneur Lara Foss. These values driven by her passions for discovery and creation are exemplified throughout her life and certainly in her professional and academic experience.

Lara co-created TreadRight’s methodology so it is no surprise that she is exemplary of the required disposition and skills. First, there is a focus and clarity of purpose that allows Lara to seek and understand the essential truths of individuals and organizations in spite of expectations and prior experiences – we call this “Getting out of the way.” Next, Lara brings the communication skills, observational skills, and authentic warmth and sincerity needed to discover essential truth even in difficult situations. Finally, the integration of observations into a MissionMapSM require Lara’s limber creativity and the distinct depth and breadth of Lara’s intelligences.

Lara’s background in public relations, promotions, and event planning spans her life. Her business experience started in 1992 with a leadership role with Mother Earth Productions. In 1996 she co-founded HOPE Productions to produce fund raising events for local and national non-profits. In this capacity she has worked with Any Baby Can, S.O.S., S.G. Coman Breast Cancer Research Foundation, AIDS Services of Austin, and The Sierra Club. The Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, Emprise Marketing, and The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts are all organizations where Lara has taken a leadership role in connecting the organization with its public.

Lara has also dug into creative and technical endeavors. From 1999 through 2001 she worked as an editor and as an audio engineer with game company Digital Anvil (now part of Microsoft). Between 1998 and 2001 she regularly accepted independent graphic design assignments. She has edited several independent films including Following Three Women (2001), Family Follies (1999), Burgled (1998), and Spot (1997).

With a BS in Radio/TV/Film and a BA in Psychology, both from the University of Texas at Austin, Lara brings a solid foundation for understanding the processes and motivations that drive individuals and organizations.  Lara is also certified to facilitate Cultural Transformation Tools to individuals and organizations.
